The Webmaster is responsible for driving the creation and maintenance of all public or customer facing web properties including iovation.com, special marketing sites, forums and administration sites, including navigation and site architecture development, web application development and domain management. For success in this role, you will have a wide array of web development and web design skills, and proven expertise in web site.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing day-to-day site maintenance
2. Designing, formatting and quickly implementing concise, effective web pages
3. Creating and optimizing web images for download efficiency and clean design
4. Overseeing content management
5. Search Engine Optimization
6. Provide consistent tracking of downloads, visitors and other web site statistics
7. Serve as primary interface on all website activities as iovation’s business needs change and escalate
8. Facilitate the technical and content objectives for web site including:scheduling and scoping of web site design; creation of page schematics identifying functional requirements of each page; and definition of programming requirements.
9. Integrate site back end with other systems (ie Salesforce, lead gen processes).
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
1. Knowledge of Web standards, work flow processes, technology trends, online marketing concepts, and Web best practices
2. Strong Linux experience, must have strong Linux background and be able to configure a web server from scratch with performance and security in mind
3. Strong understanding of MySQL and relational databases
4. Knowledge of today’s website design best practices, background in graphic design a plus
5. Strong understanding of web architectures that foster modularity, layering, and reusability of templates
6. Experience successfully trouble-shooting on the fly and possessing a working knowledge of web server and web technical issues management is crucial
7. Understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and browser security techniques
8. 5+ years experience as a proven webmaster
9. Working with user interface design, continually evolving product admin tools.
10. Significant experience with multimedia apps such as flash preferred.
11. Proficiency with the following programming/scripting languages: PHP, Ruby on Rails, ActionScript, JavaScript, AJAX, XHTML and CSS
