BACKGROUND ShoreBank Enterprise Cascadia (SBEC) is a certified non-profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) serving urban and rural communities of Oregon and Washington. SBEC provides financing and business assistance to entrepreneurs, non-profits and others that deliver economic, social and/or environmental benefits to local communities and the larger region. POSITION PURPOSE Responsible for generating new loan volume and servicing a loan portfolio that meets Enterpriseˇ¦s mission, financial and risk goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include some or all of the following. Other duties may be assigned.An employee's specific job duties, priorities and performance expectations are detailed in his/her individual performance plan. -Actively prospects for development loan opportunities from multiple sources, solicits loan customers -Meets prospective borrowers, collects information, evaluates loan requests, negotiates loan terms and conditions.Applies appropriate measures of development or ecological impact. -Underwrites loans in accordance with Enterprise Cascadia policy.Prepares detailed risk analysis of borrowers' repayment ability including financial and industry analysis of the borrowers' businesses, presents and defends loan proposals to loan committee -Provide informal technical assistance services to community members, prospective clients and borrowers regarding plans, projections and business practices. -Monitor outstanding borrowers for conformance with loan conditions, progress in meeting business goals, and overall business performance.Reports all emerging problem loans to management as soon as weaknesses are detected. -Manage portfolio risk in accordance with industry and Enterprise Cascadia standards and directives of the Risk Manager -Participate in collections and financial management of the Enterprise Cascadia portfolio as directed -Actively pursue development of loan products that support mission and business objectives of the organization. -Evaluate customer and market needs, recommend appropriate products and services, and implement new strategies. -May specialize through developing mission niches or through implementing particular Enterprise Cascadia strategies. -May supervise credit analysts or assistants. -Provide leadership to and participate fully with other members of the lending team on strategy, tactics and mission priorities. POSITION SCOPE - Direct Reports 2-4 TYPICAL PROBLEM SOLVING Defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.Interpreting a variety of technical information and dealing with abstract and concrete variables.Examples include: developing outreach strategies, evaluating credit worthiness, resolving customer concerns, negotiating financial terms, collecting problem loans. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree, four years of college or equivalent experience required. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE Five years relevant work experience.
