Do you love e-learning?Do you havefabulous, hands on experience designing computer training sites? Then this position is for you!

SUMMARY The Sr. Instructional Designer will be responsible for developing and designing training programs and reference material that will help users to effectively use proprietary computer applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the technical tools available to accomplish such training and be able to match the right tools to each particular application and user group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Responsibilities will encompass analyzing user needs, assessing training requirements, producing effective training materials including tutorials, testing materials, job aids, software user guides, system documentation, policy and procedure manuals, and Web-based content. Developing and implementing new process improvement solutions to improve technology training within the company and mentoring and coaching professional training staff.

QUALIFICATIONS Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in instructional design, technical communications, education, HR, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications in training and development desired. Qualified candidates should also have 5 or more years developing technology-related training and documentation in a corporate environment, experience analyzing and evaluating training, and must understand the fundamentals of training adults.
Must have a strong background (hands on) in applying technology to the training process.
This person will need to know how and when to utilize interactive application simulation, animated demos, and online training presentations of various types. It is strongly desired that applicants have a working knowledge of the transportation industry.
Occasional travel and overtime required.
Excellent communication skills§- (oral and written); communicate effectively with peers, end users, and all levels of corporate management.
Solid active listening and presentation skills.
Prior professional experience in technical writing and editing skills.
Strong project management, time management, and prioritization skills.
Ability to establish business relationships and work effectively with business and client contacts in a dynamic self directed team based environment.

TECHNICAL REQ'S: Dreamweaver (or similar web design tool to create static sites), Robohelp, Acrobat, MS Office
