Non-profit organization is seeking assistant drama coach to work with high school age drama troupe which presents school assembly theater production on the message of premarital abstinence. Person will assist with auditions and rehearsals, including development of the actors by improving acting abilities and helping with characterization, development of roles, memorization, blocking, diction, motivation, and technical training (sound equipment, backdrop, stage management). Position is mid-June through August on Monday and Thursday evenings.
Abilities: Reliable, strong verbal communication skills, accountable, high energy, good team-player, uses time effectively, follows through, efforts produce results, works well with teens, and willing to accept direction.
Prior experience preferred: Minimum one year theater experience; experience working with teens; some previous directing experience, preferably with youth.
