The North Plains 11th Annual Elephant Garlic Festival 2008 Poster Contest
The first ever Elephant Garlic Festival Poster Contest is open to all, the winning artwork will be used to promote this year's festival through use of the winning poster on various souvenirs. In addition to posters, the design appears on T-shirts, post cards, coloring contest.
Prize
A $500 cash prize will be given to the winning entry, which is judged on the basis of originality, appropriateness to the garlic theme, and reproducibility.
The contest is open to all interested parties, particularly art students, professional artists and graphic designers
The grand prize winning poster design will be the centerpiece of the promotional campaign for the 2008
2008 Contest Theme
The theme for the 11th annual Elephant Garlic festival is “A Vote for Stinkee is a Vote for Fun.”( It is an election year)Stinkee is the festivals mascot and must be used somewhere with in the poster. Also to be included on the poster must be the date and year, sponsored by the North Plains Chamber of Commerce & directions to the festival. take hwy 26 to the North Plains/ Glencoe Rd exit turn right(north) and follow your nose.
Specifications
Entries of any media may be used to create the poster (paint, crayon, colored pencil, other materials)
This is a family event and it is all about Garlic and having a fun time
The poster size must be close to 18x24, the images will be scannedso a PDF or vector file can be used
Submission Date:
All entries must be submitted by April 15th 2008
