Euro RSCG, an international multimedia advertising agency located in the heart of the Pearl District is seeking an Online Media Director.

The Online Media Director is the point person in the online media buying and planning process and is charged with overseeing the daily operations of the online media department. The Online Media Director is in the position to make constant adjustments to online media plans, buys, and reporting. This person is ultimately responsible for spending the client’s dollars efficiently and effectively and meeting each campaign’s media objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

Individual will maintains a high-level of client contact:

• Lends online media recommendations and expertise to various client pitches including capabilities and/or specific online media plans, strategies and post analyses.
• Participates in new business discussions and upholds client promises from the online media perspective.

Oversees the development of online media plans and strategies as well as directing their implementation:

• In collaboration with the rest of the online marketing strategists and account service team, the client’s goals are defined and the parameters and objectives of the online media plan are determined and set in accordance with the client’s needs.
• Provides online media recommendations, and prepares the online media plan based on the objectives determined in conjunction with the online marketing strategists and account service team.
• Ensures that proper buys are made, budgets are met, and campaign objectives are achieved.
• The Online Media Director is also charged with growing the relationship between traditional and DRTV media planning and online media methodologies.

Coordinates day-to-day operations of the online media department:

• Analyzes online media schedules and direct sell results to monitor buys based on buy specs and determines the success/failure of specific buys. Provides direction for adjustment of buys where necessary.
• Monitors client budgets and directs buyers in adhering to them as well as ensuring that agency revenue is maximized.
• Works in tandem with the analytics department to coordinate reporting and tracking of campaign objectives.
• Fosters favorable relationships with online media vendors.
• Enhances department processes and procedures in order to maximize efficiency and profitability.


Department Administration/Supervision:

• Oversees all online media buyers, planners and traffic coordinators, and is responsible for their training, hiring/firing, performance reviews, managing vacation/personal days, etc.
• Holds regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports to discuss and enforce the above processes and procedures. Also holds media management meetings to discuss initiatives and progress of accounts.
• Prepares department budgets and targets progress.
