I have an Ampeg B500DR bass amp head, solid state (not tube). It makes 500W @ 2 ohms and 350W at 4 ohms. That's a LOT of power, and a LOT of sound. I have it currently running through a 4x12 cab full of Sheffield speakers (which are not for sale), and this head will rumble my whole apartment and freak my kitty out at a low setting. It's in mint condition. It's a rack-mount, but I don't have it in a rack right now, and you wouldn't have to, either. It has four programmable channels with a foot pedal to switch between them (you can switch on the head, too), and two separate inputs. Basically, this is an incredible amp.
This retailed for $1300 new. It's now a discontinued model (even though it's only about a year old), but a similarly-powered Ampeg head listed on Musician's Friend is currently selling for $1100 (with a list price of $1539). Despite these numbers, I really don't know what to ask for this thing. So, make me an offer! How's that?
Along with cash offers, I am also quite open to a trade for a nice laptop computer. Straight-across trades or computer+cash is fine - let me know what you have!
