The YWCA Clark County Sexual Assault Program serves over 2,000 women, children, and men victim/survivors and their families each year.Attend FREE training today and make a difference in your community! The Position: Volunteer advocates provide in-person advocacy, crisis intervention, and ongoing support for victim/survivors and their family.Advocates are out in our community working directly with medical personnel, law enforcement, and the criminal justice system. Who are Sexual Assault Victim’s Advocates? Advocates come from all walks of life.They are ordinary citizens who share one essential quality:They believe that no one deserves to be sexually assaulted. Requirements: •Must be 20+ years old and pass a Washington State Patrol records check •Complete 30 hours of initial training and 12+ hours of ongoing training each year •Must have transportation and a working phone with answering machine •A flexible schedule is preferred Spring training begins April 8 Act NOW – No one deserves to be sexually assaulted!
