Description Overview: The Accounting/Analyst Manager is responsible for conducting detailed analyses of data, systems and tools; then using this data to effectively communicate system activities and statuses. The Analyst uses knowledge of accounting, general ledger, statistics, and computer systems and software analyze large amounts of data.The Financial Analyst is also the first point-of-contact in answering questions related to the analysis and communication of business data.The successful candidate will balance working independently with working as part of a team to achieve desired results. Essential job functions include, but are not limited to: •Collecting data & conducting complex analysis of trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, obligations other data •Correlating and reporting data for key performance indicators •Performing revenue, operations, or other systems’ audits •Identifying and researching anomalies, trends, and other behaviors and activities •Identifying and recommending process improvements •Making necessary journal entries related to network costs at the close of each month •Developing effective communications of metrics, procedures, updates, etc. •Communicating and presenting information to diverse groups •Developing effective presentations •Abiding by Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAP and other required protocols and procedures Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Tracking and reporting cash activities, network cost analysis Supporting external reporting requirements, such as 10Q Effectively and professionally corresponding directly with external groups, including taxing authorities, auditors, etc. Leading, or assuming significant roles in, the implementation and communication of process improvements Requirements: BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance; or equivalent education and relevant work experience Minimum of 3-years experience Solid understanding of standard accounting principles, theories, practices, and procedures Experience with automated general ledger systems Demonstrates excellent analysis and problem solving skills Familiar with relational database concepts Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment Highly proficient using personal computers, including advanced knowledge of MS office programs, including Excel Intermediate-level skills using Access Ability to effectively communicate with diverse internal and external groups Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with groups PLEASE APPLY TO: http://www.newedgenetworks.com/about_us/careers/ Who are we?
